257. April 21, 2023 - In the game Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, you can grab an item and run in circles around the shopkeeper, who will spin in circles trying to follow you. With some effort, you can get his back turned just as you approach the door, and escape with his item in your possession. From then on, every character in the game calls you "THIEF" in accusatory all-caps. Without fail, every instance of being called "THIEF" hurt my feelings as a child. So I designed the shop here with a counter you can't run in circles around --very much like every counter that has ever existed except in Link's Awakening.
